Links 'n' stuff..

MyPaint is at On the front page, there's links to download the program for both Linux and Windows, as well as links to related projects.

There's a bunch of MyPaint Tutorials on the MyPaint Resources page, and there might be even more on the Wiki or in the Forum.

Also, be sure to checkout Deevad's very cool time-lapse video showing his use of MyPaint.

Hey guys! so recently I got a Macbook pro and I can't seem to find a site that will let me download the program for Mac. I've tried to download it through Macports but I can't find the Mypaint download there.

HELP ME!!! :(

So, I've got a little bit of a problem. I'd been working on a drawing (.ora file), my laptop froze so I put it to sleep for a bit. I opened it up again and it ran smoothly for a while, but then an error message popped up saying that MyPaint crashed. My laptop completely whitescreened and I panicked and took the battery out.
When I went to open the file again, (I'd saved before the crash) another Programming Error message pops up and I can't open it anymore. :^(

Can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me bring my drawing back.

I've tried going on MyPaint's GitHub page, I followed their advice but couldn't bring it back. I'll try the forum, thanks for the tip!

I'm still using the old 1.0. version. Yay or nay? 😅

For me, it's Yay to old version 1.0.0. I installed the latest version and had problems adjusting to it, and it didn't seem to like my Windows10 laptop. After two months trying to work with it, I uninstalled and went back to good ol' 1.0.0. It may have its limitations, but it works fine for me. I just need to use GIMP to crop and add text.

Yes, yes, exactly TTvTT And also it felt like using a different software. While understandable but still...

This might sound like a silly idea, or maybe even too much XD But how about releasing two variants? Classic & Advance? :giggle:

I think that might work for me! Two features I would really like to be added to the old version - to be able to draw shapes like circles/ellipses, and to be able to crop/frame. Apart from that, I don't think I want to change anything!! I love 1.0.0 as it is.Heart

So, not a silly idea at all to me! I am for Classic. :D (Big Grin)
